Coccyx or tailbone is the fused triangular structure at the end of the spine. Ideally if you run your hand down your spine it should be in alignment with the bigger triangular structure called sacrum, it should be more centered and not painful upon touch. People report coccyx pain after an injury, fall, prolonged sitting while leaning excessively backwards. Sometimes over stretching of ligaments around the pelvis during pregnancy or delivery also causes tailbone pain. At human repair by releasing the muscles and ligaments around the pelvis, and if needed, internal mobilization of tailbone is also under taken. Internal mobilisation of tailbone might sound very uncomfortable but it's much less painful and the patient is fully covered throughout the session.
